Gliterary Lunch in Glasgow was a roaring success...

What a brilliant day with the Gliterary Lunch ladies in Glasgow, not only was the event fabulous, well-organised and very glam but we cackled together on trains all the way to North Berwick, like long lost friends. Thank you ladies!! I feel I have wonderful new friends/sisters in Scotland now and will have to write another book double quick just to get invited to another lunch...

Here I am with a fellow nominee on the red carpet at the American Society of Magazine Editors' National Magazine Awards in New York city last week. I was nominated in the best essay category for an essay on love in Iran published by the Virginia Quarterly Review last year. Amazing to be in the company of the likes of Tom Wolfe, Christopher Hitchins, Atul Gawande...
